Phase 1: Consultation
Your treatment begins with a personalized consultation with our team. During this appointment, we’ll learn about your smile goals and show how dental implants can provide this for you. We’ll also complete an evaluation of your mouth and any diagnostics necessary for planning your surgery. Most of our patients are candidates for receiving a temporary crown or bridge the day their implants are placed. We’ll have everything ready for this appointment when you arrive.
Phase 2:
Surgery
Our partnering periodontist will travel to our office to place your dental implant(s). Because our periodontist has received extensive surgical training and experience, your dental implants will be placed in areas of your jaw that provide the greatest functional benefits. Your surgical appointment may also include tooth extractions and/or bone or soft tissue grafts. Our periodontist can skillfully complete these procedures, too.
Phase 3: Restoration
You’ll need a few months to fully heal after your placement surgery. During this time, the dental implant post will fuse to your natural bone and create a strong foundation for a dental crown or bridge. When this phase is complete, you’ll return to our office to have your custom-made final restoration attached. This restoration is fabricated from porcelain material, which we color to take on the natural shade and translucency of real teeth. This crown or bridge will be strong enough to withstand biting and chewing while being indistinguishable alongside your remaining teeth.
